The house mouse and field mouse are the most common mice inside people’s homes. They are usually around three inches long and weigh less than an ounce, quite a bit smaller than rats. They can have up to a 12 litters a year, and up to 12 in a litter. Their reproductive potential is higher than rats but they rarely live longer than a year in the wild. They behave similarly to rats and can pose the same problems as rats. Control and exclusion methods need to be done properly to prevent infestations.
