Lawrenceville Pest Control

Founded in December 1821, Lawrenceville, Georgia, is the second oldest city in metropolitan Atlanta. It's one of a dozen places named after the naval commander and war hero Captain James Lawrence. With the wealth of local history, it's no surprise that Lawrenceville has many popular landmarks and a few haunted attractions.

Although some people come for the ghost tours, most folks are more comfortable exploring the shops and restaurants in the downtown area. Things have changed over the years. Today, the historic market called Honest Alley is a mixed-use office, business and retail complex. During the 1980s, Gwinnett County was one of the fastest growing areas in the United States, and Lawrenceville hasn't stopped expanding.

Lawrenceville Ant Control

Although Lawrenceville welcomes tourists with open arms, some unwanted guests don't get to enjoy Georgia's famous Southern hospitality. Like most of the state, Lawrenceville residents have battled fire ants, Argentine ants and tawny crazy ants for years. Carpenter ants have been damaging local homes long before Lawrenceville was founded. Unfortunately, they are still going strong.

Termite Infestations

Ghosts aren't the only creatures hiding in the walls. Lawrenceville is a hot spot for termites. The eastern subterranean termite species causes severe structural damage in many states including Georgia. These pests are active throughout the year thanks to Georgia's mild winters though typically termites swarm in mid March to late April.  Swarmers are often confused with flying ants.  Signs of a termite infestation include discarded wings found on the ground and mud tunnels around the structure.  Preventative termite protection is your best bet against this unrelenting pest.

Common Pest Problems
